TankDestruction

Hello!

TankDestruction is a project I have been working on for the past 3 years of my life, and is the culmination of my efforts, since I started programming 7 years ago.

And, after 3 years of programming, TankDestruction's alpha release is finally here!

TankDestruction is designed to be a strategic action-based, multiplayer game, inspired by games such as World of Tanks, Air Rivals, and Tanki Online.

• Choose five special abilities to activate in battle! You can choose to equip a forcefield, drive really fast, jump into the air, among many other abilities!
• Capture towers on the opposing team to gain points and win the game!
• Destroy AI controlled tiger tanks, and other player-controlled tanks, in order to try to gain the upper hand!
• Destroy the turrets protecting the towers to successfully capture them!

Oh wait I put exclamation marks after every single bullet point. Is that bad advertising? Welp.

TankDestruction is also designed to have a goofy side, though it doesn't show through that well in it's alpha stage. The tiger tanks decide to goof around quite a bit though! Sometimes they'll troll you by just crashing into you and pushing you about. And sometimes, you'll even see tiger tanks on top of each other.

Future development of the game will emphasize:

• Making the game more tactical, and less shoot-em-up in it's style (note that this is why I chose "action" as the genre). This will include more special abilities.
• Making the objective less sh*t, by switching to a dominate-the-map system rather than a point-based system. Also capture the flag sounds fun? And maybe some sort of mothership type battle? I'm not sure yet...
• Making the 2D UI elements a bit better.
• More maps (there's only 1 map right now, but I have 3 other maps that are well into development).

For those wondering about monetization:

Ingame, it is possible to purchase a premium account for $10. A premium account gives you access to premium skins (there's like 11 of them, where your tank can look like rocks, sand, grass, etc). If you would like to support the development of the game, I ask that you purchase one, as it costs money to host both websites and servers, and this is not something I can do out of my own pocket indefinitely. 

Tbh, I feel like TankDestruction will either flop or a be a great success, so we'll see what happens.
